I See the Wind

December 16, 2014 by ajpassey 1 Comment

I See the Wind

I see the wind when the leaves dance by,
I see the wind when the Clothes wave “Hi!”
I see the wind when the trees bend low,
I see the wind when the flags all blow.
I see the wind when the kites Fly high,
I see the wind when the clouds float by.
I see the wind when it blows my hair,
I see the wind ‘most everywhere!

Actions for I See the Wind

I see the wind when the leaves dance by,
(Dance hands around)
I see the wind when the Clothes wave “Hi!”
(Wave hand)
I see the wind when the trees bend low,
(Bend arms over and down)
I see the wind when the flags all blow.
(wave arms high)
I see the wind when the kites Fly high,
(raise arms high)
I see the wind when the clouds float by.
(wave hand gently)
I see the wind when it blows my hair,
(lift hair with hands.)
I see the wind ‘most everywhere!
(Hold hands out, palms up.)

Noisy Wind

Noisy Wind

(Tune: “The Farmer in the Dell“)

I like the noisy wind,
I like the noisy wind.
It roars and mutters
And shakes the shutters.
I like the noisy wind.

I like the noisy wind,
I like the noisy wind.
It flaps the flag
And rustles my bag.
I like the noisy wind.

Actions for Noisy Wind

I like the noisy wind,
I like the noisy wind.
It roars and mutters
(voice loud, then softer)
And shakes the shutters.
(Jazz hands)
I like the noisy wind.

I like the noisy wind,
I like the noisy wind.
It flaps the flag
(flap your arms back and forth)
And rustles my bag.
(Rub hands together briskly)
I like the noisy wind.

Whistling Wind

Whistling Wind

(Tune: “If You’re Happy and You Know It“)

If you hear the whistling wind,
Cup your ears.
If you hear the whistling wind,
Cup your ears.
If you hear it in the trees
Making music with the leaves,
If you hear the whistling wind,
Cup your ears.

If you feel the Blustery wind,
Whirl around
If you feel the blustery wind,
Whirl around.
If you feel it lift your hair
Like a kite up in the air,
If you feel the blustery wind,
Whirl around.

The Rainbow Song

The Rainbow Song

(Tune: “Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star“)

Red and orange, green and blue
Shiny yellow, purple, too.
All the colors that we know,
Live up in the rainbow.
Red and orange, green and blue
Shiny yellow, purple, too.

1 Misty Moisty Morning

November 10, 2009 by ajpassey Leave a Comment

One Misty Moisty Morning

One misty, moisty, morning,
When cloudy was the weather;
I chanced to meet an old man
Clothed all in leather.
He began to compliment,
And I began to grin,
How do you do, and how do you do?
And how do you do again?

Rain, Rain, Go Away

November 9, 2009 by ajpassey Leave a Comment

Rain

Rain, rain go away
Little Sammi wants to play
Rain, rain go away
Come again some other day

Switch out Sammi for your child’s name. Little ones love hearing their name in a song or rhyme. They feel very special. They are also more attentive because it connects to them personally.

Pitter-Patter, Pitter-Pat

November 3, 2009 by ajpassey Leave a Comment

Pitter-Patter, Pitter-Pat

Pitter-patter, pitter-pat
The rain goes on for hours.
And though it keeps me in the house
It’s very good for flowers.
