Five little cherries sitting in a tree
Soaking up the sun as happy as can be.
Along came a bird as quick as can be
And snatched that cherry right out of the tree!
Four little cherries sitting in a tree
Soaking up the sun as happy as can be.
Along came a bird as quick as can be
And snatched that cherry right out of the tree!
Three little cherries sitting in a tree
Soaking up the sun as happy as can be.
Along came a bird as quick as can be
And snatched that cherry right out of the tree!
Two little cherries sitting in a tree
Soaking up the sun as happy as can be.
Along came a bird as quick as can be
And snatched that cherry right out of the tree!
One little cherry sitting in a tree
Soaking up the sun as happy as can be.
Along came a bird as quick as can be
And snatched that cherry right out of the tree!
Five little strawberries growing in the patch
Along comes a bunny and snatch, snatch, snatch!
He ate it all up and looked around
Then he hopped off without a sound.
Four little strawberries growing in the patch
Along comes a bunny and snatch, snatch, snatch!
He ate it all up and looked around
Then he hopped off without a sound.
Three little strawberries growing in the patch
Along comes a bunny and snatch, snatch, snatch!
He ate it all up and looked around
Then he hopped off without a sound.

Along comes a bunny and snatch, snatch, snatch!
He ate it all up and looked around
Then he hopped off without a sound.

Along comes a bunny and snatch, snatch, snatch!
He ate it all up and looked around
Then he hopped off without a sound.
Round and round the garden
Goes the teddy bear
One step, two steps
Tickle under there!
Directions: pretend your fingers are the teddy bear and use them to “walk” around either the child’s tummy or back, then tickle under their chin or their armpit at the end. This is a great rhyme for building anticipation as little ones know what is coming and can get very excited for the end tickle.
Old MacDonald had a farm, e-i-e-i-o
And on that farm he had a cow, e-i-e-i-o
With a moo, moo here
And a moo, moo there
Here a moo, there a moo
Everywhere a moo, moo
Old MacDonald had a farm, e-i-e-i-o
Repeat with various farm animals: chicken, horse, pig, duck, dog, cat, rooster, goat, etc.
Group activity idea: hand out stuffed animals or little figurines of farm animals, sit in a circle, each verse the next child holds their animal up and everyone sings that animal.
Higglety pigglety pop
The dog has eaten the mop
The pig’s in a hurry
The cat’s in a flurry
Higglety pigglety pop!
Here are my ears
Here is my nose
Here are my fingers
Here are my toes
Here are my eyes
Both open wide
Here is my mouth
With teeth inside
Here is my tongue
That helps me speak
Here is my chin
Here are my cheeks
Here are my hands
That help me play
Here are my feet
For walking today
One green shamrock in the morning dew,
Another one sprouted and then there were two.
Two green shamrocks growing under a tree,
Another one sprouted and then there were three.
Three green shamrocks by the cottage door,
Another one sprouted and then there were four.
Four green shamrocks near a beehive,
Another one sprouted and then there were five.
Five green shamrocks soaking up the sun,
Then sharing luck and joy with everyone.
Are you hiding?
Are you hiding?
Leprechaun?
Leprechaun?
I’m searching for a rainbow.
Searching for a rainbow.
Leprechaun.
Leprechaun.
5 little leprechauns standing in a row.
One fell down and hurt his toe.
4 little leprechauns climbing up a tree.
One slipped down while spying on me.
3 little leprechauns dancing in the sun.
One sat down and ended all the fun.
2 little leprechauns sing an Irish song.
One wandered off, his voice still strong.
1 little leprechaun guarding all the gold
Fell right asleep and I felt bold.
I crept to his cave as he began to snore.
I snatched up the gold and ran out the door!
