Learning

Learning

This is high and this is low
Only see how much I know.

This is narrow, this is wide,
Something else I know besides.

Up is where the birds fly free,
Down is where my feet should be.

This is my right hand, as you see,
This is my left hand, all agree.

Overhead I raise them high,
Clap 1, 2, 3, and then let them fly.

Follow the words for the actions to this rhyme.

The Man in the Moon Came Down Too Soon

The Man in the Moon

The man in the moon
Came down too soon
And asked his way to Norwich

He went by the south
And burnt his mouth
With supping cold plum porridge

The Man in the Moon Looked Down From the Moon

The Man in the Moon

The man in the moon looked down from the moon
Looked down from the moon and said,
“Tis time for all children on the earth
To think about going to bed.”

Bunnies

Bunnies

“The bunnies now must go to bed,”
The furry mother bunny said.
“But I must count them first to see
If they have all come back to me.
One bunny, two bunnies, three bunnies dear,
Four bunnies, five bunnies; yes, they’re all here.
They are the prettiest things alive,
My bunnies, one, two, three, four, five.”

10 Little Firefighters

10 Little Firefighters

Ten little firefighters sleeping in a row
Ding, ding goes the bell and down the pole they go.
Off on the engine, oh, oh, oh.
Using the big hose so, so, so.
When all the fire’s our, home so slow.
Back into bed, all in a row.

Balloons

Balloons

This is the way we blow our balloon.
Blow! Blow! Blow!
{Stretch arms out wider and wider}
This is the way we break our balloon.
{Clap hands together}
Oh, oh, no!

6 Little Ducks

November 3, 2009 by ajpassey Leave a Comment

6 Little Ducks

Six little ducks that I once knew.
Fat ducks, skinny ducks, fair ducks, too.
But the one little duck with the feather on his back
He led the others with a quack, quack, quack

Down to the river they would go,
Wibble-wobble, wibble-wobble, to and fro
But the one little duck with the feather on his back
He led the others with a quack, quack, quack,
A quack, quack, quack, A quack, quack, quack,
He led the others with a quack, quack, quack!

Open Them, Shut Them

Open, Shut Them

Open them. Shut them.
Open them. Shut them.
Give a little clap.
Open them. Shut them.
Open them. Shut them.
Place them in your lap.

Then creep them, creep them,
Creep them, creep them
Right up to your chin
Open wide your little mouth,
But do not let them in!

Pitter-Patter, Pitter-Pat

Pitter-Patter, Pitter-Pat

Pitter-patter, pitter-pat
The rain goes on for hours.
And though it keeps me in the house
It’s very good for flowers.

Animal Fair

November 3, 2009 by ajpassey Leave a Comment

Animal Fair

I went to the Animal Fair
The birds and the beasts were there
The big baboon by the light of the moon
Was combing his auburn hair.
The monkey bumped the skunk
And sat on the elephant’s trunk
The elephant sneezed and fell to his knees
And that was the end of the monk
The monk, the monk, the monk,
That was the end of the monk!
