I’m a Little Dragon

February 23, 2020 by ajpassey Leave a Comment

I’m a Little Dragon

(Tune: “I’m a Little Teapot”)

I’m a little dragon, strong and stout.
Here is my tail and here is my snout.
If I get upset, you better watch out!
I’ll roar, and shout, and stomp about.

5 Little Dragons

February 23, 2020 by ajpassey Leave a Comment

Five Little Dragons

Five little dragons went out one day
Over the hills and far away
Mother dragon said, “It’s time for your snack,”
Only four little dragons came roaring back.

Four little dragons went out one day
Over the hills and far away
Mother dragon said, “It’s time for your snack,”
Only three little dragons came roaring back.

Three little dragons went out one day
Over the hills and far away
Mother dragon said, “It’s time for your snack,”
Only two little dragons came roaring back.

Two little dragons went out one day
Over the hills and far away
Mother dragon said, “It’s time for your snack,”
Only one little dragon came roaring back.

One little dragon went out one day
Over the hills and far away
Mother dragon said, “It’s time for your snack,”
But no little dragons came roaring back.

Mother dragon said, “It’s a really good snack!”
And all five little dragons came roaring back.

5 Pigs So Squeaky Clean

May 9, 2019 by ajpassey Leave a Comment

5 Pigs So Squeaky Clean

(Tune: “Five Green and Speckled Frogs“)

Five pigs so squeaky clean
Cleanest you’ve ever seen
Wanted to go outside and play
Oink! Oink!
One jumped into the mud
Landed with a great big THUD
Then there were four clean squeaky pigs.

Four pigs so squeaky clean
Cleanest you’ve ever seen
Wanted to go outside and play
Oink! Oink!
One jumped into the mud
Landed with a great big THUD
Then there were three clean squeaky pigs.

Three pigs so squeaky clean
Cleanest you’ve ever seen
Wanted to go outside and play
Oink! Oink!
One jumped into the mud
Landed with a great big THUD
Then there were two clean squeaky pigs.

Two pigs so squeaky clean
Cleanest you’ve ever seen
Wanted to go outside and play
Oink! Oink!
One jumped into the mud
Landed with a great big THUD
Then there was one clean squeaky pig.

One pig so squeaky clean
Cleanest you’ve ever seen
Wanted to go outside and play
Oink! Oink!
One jumped into the mud
Landed with a great big THUD
Then there were no clean squeaky pigs.

5 Little Pigs

5 Little Pigs

Five little pigs rolled in the mud.
Squishy, squashy, they need a scrub!
The farmer took one piggy out.
“Oink, oink, oink”that pig did shout!

Four little pigs rolled in the mud.
Squishy, squashy, they need a scrub!
The farmer took one piggy out.
“Oink, oink, oink”that pig did shout!

Three little pigs rolled in the mud.
Squishy, squashy, they need a scrub!
The farmer took one piggy out.
“Oink, oink, oink”that pig did shout!

Two little pigs rolled in the mud.
Squishy, squashy, they need a scrub!
The farmer took one piggy out.
“Oink, oink, oink”that pig did shout!

One little pig rolled in the mud.
Squishy, squashy, it needs a scrub!
The farmer took one piggy out.
“Oink, oink, oink”that pig did shout!

No little pigs rolled in the mud.
They looked so clean after their scrub.
The farmer turned his back and then…
Those pigs rolled in the mud again!

Horsey, Horsey

April 7, 2016 by ajpassey Leave a Comment

Horsey, Horsey

Horsey, horsey, don’t you stop,
Just let your feet go clippety clop;
Your tail goes swish;
And the wheels go round;
Giddy-up, you’re homeward bound!

5 Little Pigs (This Little Pig)

April 5, 2016 by ajpassey Leave a Comment

This Little Pig

This little pig went to market,
This little pig stayed home,
This little pig had roast beef,
And this little pig had none,
And this little pig went wee-wee-wee
All the way home.

Three Blind Mice

April 5, 2016 by ajpassey Leave a Comment

Three Blind Mice

Three blind mice, three blind mice,
See how they run! See how they run!
They all ran after the farmer’s wife,
Who cut off their tails with a carving knife,
Did you ever see such a thing in your life
As three blind mice?

Old Mother Hubbard

April 5, 2016 by ajpassey Leave a Comment

Old Mother Hubbard

Old Mother Hubbard
Went to the cupboard,
To fetch her poor dog a bone;
But when she came there
The cupboard was bare
And so the poor dog had none.

She went to the baker’s
To buy him some bread;
But when she came back
The poor dog was dead.

She went to the undertaker’s
To buy him a coffin;
But when she came back
The poor dog was laughing.

She took a clean dish
To get him some tripe;
But when she came back
He was spoking a pipe.

She went to the alehouse
To get him some beer;
But when she came back
The dog sat in a chair.

She went to the tavern
For white wine and red;
But when she came back
Th dog stood on his head.

She went to the fruiterer’s
To buy hims some fruit;
But when she came back
He was playing the flute.

She went to the tailor’s
To buy him a coat;
But when she came back
He was riding a goat.

She went to the hatter’s
To buy him a hat;
But when she came back
He was feeding the cat.

She went to the barber’s
To buy him a wig;
But when she came back
He was dancing a jig.

She went to the cobbler’s
To buy hims some shoes;
But when she came back
He was reading the news.

She went to the seamstress
To buy him some linen;
But when she came back
The dog was a-spinning.

She went to the hosier’s
To buy him some hose;
But when she came back
He was dressed in his clothes.

The dame made a curtsy,
The dog made a bow;
The dame said, Your servant,
The dog said, Bow-wow.

5 Little Bunnies

March 23, 2016 by ajpassey Leave a Comment

Five Little Bunnies

5 little bunnies sitting on my grass
The first one said, “I’ll hop away fast”
The second little bunny said, “I’ll hop away now.”
The third little bunny said, “But I don’t know how!”
The fourth little bunny said, “I’ll show you the way.”
And the fifth little bunny followed after them to play.

As five little bunnies hopped across my lawn,
I watched from the window till they were all gone.

Actions for Five Little Bunnies

  • Start with 5 fingers from one hand sitting on opposing arm held in front of you.
  • For each bunny, hold up the number of fingers for each bunny (first one hold up one finger, second little bunny hold up two fingers, etc.)
  • As you say the line for each bunny, hop your fingers down your arm toward your hand, except the third bunny.
  • For the third bunny, shake your three fingers back and forth to show not knowing how.
  • For the final refrain, hop all five fingers down your arm and hide them behind your back for “all gone.”

Dinosaurs

(Tune: “Row Your Boat“)

Dinosaurs, dinosaurs
Eating fruits and leaves
Take a bite and chew it up
And spit out all the seeds.
