Skidamarink with actions

February 25, 2020 by ajpassey 1 Comment

Skidamarink

Skidamarink a dinka dink.
(Put right elbow in left hand and wiggle  fingers)
Skidamarink a doo.
(Put left elbow in right hand and wiggle fingers)
I love you.
(Point to eyes, hug yourself, and point to others)

Skidamarink a dinka dink.
Skidamarink a doo.
I love you.

I love you in the morning.
(Make a big circle overhead  like the sun)
And in the afternoon.
(Hold arms in circle out in front of you)
I love you in the evening.
(Move arms in circle down)
And underneath the moon.
(Release arms and make another big circle overhead)

Skidamarink a dinka dink.
Skidamarink a doo.
I love you.

Jump in the Rocket with actions

February 23, 2020 by ajpassey Leave a Comment

Jump in the Rocket

Jump in the rocket (bounce child on knee)
We’ll blast off soon!
We’re taking a trip up to the moon.
Up, up, up we climb (lift child higher and higher)
Up to the sky (hold child high in the air)
Isn’t it a lot of fun (bring child back down)
To be able to fly? (bounce child on knee)

Zoom, Zoom, Zoom

Zoom, zoom zoom,
We’re going to the moon.
Zoom, zoom zoom,
We’re going to the moon.

If you want to take a trip,
Climb aboard my rocket ship.
Zoom, zoom zoom,
We’re going to the moon.

In 5…4…3…2…1
Blast off!

Check out the video from Jbrary to learn the tune.

Check out these variations:

  • Zoom to the Sun
  • Zoom to the Stars
  • Zoom on a Pirate Ship

5 Astronauts at Play

May 28, 2019 by ajpassey 1 Comment

5 Astronauts at Play

(Tune: “5 Little Ducks Went Out One Day“)

One astronaut went out to play
Upon the great big moon one day.
He had such enormous fun,
That he called for another astronaut to come.

Two astronauts went out to play
Upon the great big moon one day.
They had such enormous fun,
That they called for another astronaut to come.

Three astronauts went out to play
Upon the great big moon one day.
They had such enormous fun,
That they called for another astronaut to come.

Four astronauts went out to play
Upon the great big moon one day.
They had such enormous fun,
That they called for another astronaut to come.

Five astronauts went out to play
Upon the great big moon one day.
They had such enormous fun,
But there weren’t any more astronauts to come.

Five Astronauts at Play was originally published on In the Children’s Room for Flannel Friday

5 Little Stars and the Moon, Too

May 28, 2019 by ajpassey 2 Comments

5 Little Stars and the Moon, Too

Five little stars shine and shine some more,
One fell to the earth and then there were four.
Four little stars, happy as can be,
One fell to the earth and then there were three.
Three little stars in a sky so blue,
One fell to the earth and then there were two.
Two little stars, having lots of fun,
One fell to the earth and then there was one.
One little star, no to be outdone,
Fell to the earth and then there were none.
The moon came out—what a pretty sight!
He waved to the stars and he said goodnight.
